Chapter 5: Look mom I am on ‪‎Mars‬, no sign of ‪‎life‬… Pang to Leh

When we stopped at Pang for a quick lunch at a small tambu (Tent) looking out, I  only saw red mountain which had no signs of any life  (maybe at this time of year) and for a moment I felt, I am on a different planet (Mars, to be precise). I am not an Astronomer, but believe me if you leave someone here blindfolded, he or she would feel that they were on a different planet.

On this route, you will pass through Taglang La which is a high mountain pass ( elevation 5,328 metres (17,480 ft)) in Ladakh region and is also the second highest Motorable Pass in the World. It was an awesome feeling to be at Tanglang La pass. High up in the mountains, with a beautiful breathtaking view all around….The sky was an amazing shade of blue…. Absolutely surreal!

From here on there was hardly any crowd and the drive was amazing. We came across some wonderful spots with beautiful flowers, also we got lucky and  could catch some snow, as it always has snow,no matter what time of the year it is. Clear skies and sunshine made this visit to the pass amazing. A beautiful road and some good weather on the road to Leh was endearing.
